The organising committee of the 2017 International Macadamia Research Symposium would like to welcome you to the Big Island of Hawaii from the 12th to the 15th of September 2017 for a gathering to share, learn about and discuss the latest developments across the international macadamia research community. The last international macadamia research meeting was in 1992 at Kona, also on the Big Island, but there have been many developments in macadamia science since then. We have decided to hold the symposium this year in Hawaii as it coincides with the week prior to the American Society of Horticultural Science Annual conference at Waikoloa. We have planned for 2 days of symposium, including an afternoon field tour, a symposium dinner to encourage network building, and 2 days of optional tours for visits to learn about the local industry and research activities. We have attempted to keep the price of the symposium affordable, and are seeking sponsorship to encourage attendance and support student participation.
We look forward to your participation,
Craig Hardner, Alyssa Cho, Marisa Wall, Nathan Trump
